Position Summary:
This position is responsible for the direct sale of HR/Payroll suite of services that includes electronic onboarding,  I-9, electronic presentment of paystubs, electronic maintenance of Direct Deposit and W4 forms,  time capture and W-2 services.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lead the business development and tele-prospecting initiative
  • Networking at trade shows or user meetings
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities and call on key decision makers of prospective corporate clients after a mutual interest has been established with the assistance of the Business Development Representative
  • Effectively manage a territory and maximize business potential
  • Responsible for cross-selling TALX products and services
  • Strategize with Product Sales Representative to locate and maximize opportunities for those services
  • Work closely with legal department and Product Management to assure new business meets the goal of being good for the client and good for TALX

 
Requirements
Minimum Education and/or Experience:
  • Four (4) year degree, preferably in Business 
  • 10+ years successful service-based solution selling in a business-to-business environment dealing with senior management of mid-market to large companies

 
Minimum Qualifications and Competencies:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Client service oriented
  • Strong problem solving and market research skills
  • Ability to coordinate activities among various sales teams

 
Computer Skills Required:
  • Proficient with Windows based and Microsoft applications

 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience with Human Resources or Payroll systems
  • Knowledge of Excel, SalesLogix, ACT! or similar prospect management database
  • Prior professional sales development training - Consultative Selling
