Position Summary:
The Regional Tax Manager is responsible for the direct sale of TALX Corporation Tax Credit and Incentive services. The Regional Tax Manager can be based in St. Louis, Missouri, Dallas, Texas, or Greenville, South Carolina.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Technical knowledge of Tax Credits and Incentives required
  • Lead the business development and sales initiative in the Eastern Region
  • Identify key decision makers and prospects within the geographic territory (Tax and HR Professionals)
  • Responsible for Business Development strategy, tactics, and execution
  • Effectively manage territory development and provide proactive sales initiatives
  • Responsible for Territory Quota and achieving assigned sales objectives
  • Involved in the meeting preparation, presentation, and pricing strategies
  • Work with Product Management to develop strategic sales plans to secure agreements
  • Work closely with multiple TALX business units, Account Management, and operations to manage the entire sales process and support the implementation
  • Responsible for introducing other TALX products and services
  • Responsible for Association presentations of Tax Credit and Incentive services
  • Involved in networking at trade shows or user meetings
 
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications and Competencies: 
  • Technical knowledge of Tax Credits and Incentives required
  • Exemplary professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Client service oriented; proven track record exceeding sales quotas/goals
  • Strong problem solving and market research skills
  • Ability to coordinate activities among various sales teams

 
Minimum Education and/or Experience:
         Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business
         Masters Degree and/or CPA is a plus - not required
         5+ years successful service-based solution selling in a business-to-business environment dealing with senior tax and HR management personnel to mid-market to large companies
 
Computer Skills Required:
         Proficient with Windows based and Microsoft applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
 
Preferred Qualifications:
         Prior knowledge and experience with Tax Credit and Incentive products and processes
         Knowledge of SalesLogix or similar prospect management database
         Prior professional sales development training
 
Physical Requirements or Environmental Factors:
         Approximately 30-50% travel is required
