| Position Summary: |
The in-house client relationship manager's primary responsibility is to retain and generate revenue from an assigned client base; accomplished by conducting telephone or web-based meetings and presentations to determine client needs and partnering with clients to uncover needs and offer TALX solutions. Act as single point of contact for client. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Strategically position The Work Number as a consultative partner
- Troubleshoot solutions to client issues
- Maintain a balance between customer service and sales in order to drive revenue growth through existing relationships
- Negotiate and manage agreements through the contract process
- Receive and respond to clients' telephone and written requests; act as a liaison between client and appropriate internal departments to serve the client
- Assess client needs and be the client champion in order to develop service programs and communication paths between client and appropriate internal departments
- Review and resolve compliance issues with client and appropriate internal departments
- Gather Voice of Client (VOC) for key marketing, pricing and product initiatives
- Determine opportunities for generating revenue through program enhancements, profitability improvement or other product lines
- Assist the sales organization on sales calls of TALX products, when necessary
- Sell and/or assist in sales of other products to client base
- Participate in additional ad-hoc initiatives as assigned

| Requirements |
A successful candidate will have:
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- Exemplary communication skills (verbal, written and presentation)
- Clear, pleasant speaking voice
- Professional appearance and behavior
- The ability to prioritize multiple work projects and function independently from supervision to meet deadlines
- Well formulated, grammatically correct written correspondence
- Previous account management experience
- Proven successful track record in meeting and/or exceeding sales goals and client retention goals
- PC literate, knowledge of various software applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SalesLogix or other contact database
