| Position Summary: |
|
pan is looking for a consultative sales professional who is successful in the management of an assigned sales territory from Lead Generation to Closing business. The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for the direct sale of the pan product solution, consisting of assessment tests, consulting services, test center services and related products and technology. This person can be located in Indiana, Mid-Atlantic or New England area.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead new business development by effectively managing resources and assigned territory while maximizing business potential
- Identify and develop new business opportunities and call on key decision makers of prospective corporate clients after a mutual interest has been established either through self initiative and/or with the assistance of the Business Development Representative
- Work closely with Product Management to assure new business meets the goal of being good for the client and good for TALX
- When located, refer opportunities for other TALX services to TALX counterparts including Regional Managers, CRMs and various other sources
- Network at trade shows or user meetings
- Assist in fostering positive customer relationships with assigned clients (if appropriate) before, during and after implementation

Minimum Qualifications and Competencies:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent presentation skills
- Client service oriented
- Strong problem solving and market research skills
- Ability to coordinate activities among various teams
- Strong desire to succeed
- Proven track record of sales success
Minimum Education and/or Experience:
- Four (4) year degree
- 3+ years of successful service-based solution selling in a business-to-business environment dealing with senior management of mid-market to large companies
Computer Skills Required:
- Proficient with Windows based and Microsoft applications
- Knowledge of day to day use of Sales Force Automation software like SalesLogix
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior sales experience with Human Resources or Payroll systems
- Prior professional sales development training
Physical Requirements or Environmental Factors:
- Approximately 20-40% travel is required
